When I moved downtown a few months ago, I decided to stock up on wines. As luck would have it, Sherry Lehmann was having a huge sale on Italian and Bordeaux cases. I got one of each.
I'm steadily working my way through, but I had to post about this standout.
I'm a big Chianti drinker, but it's rare that I find one to recommend. I almost always enjoy drinking a Chianti, but it's just that they most often meet rather than exceed expectations. But the Livernano Chianti Classico 2005 ($19.95) did, and then some.
It's the first time this year, I put the glass down in order to write down what I was drinking so I could order more.
And, it doesn't hurt that the packaging is delightful. Also available in a more expensive Riserva. I would deep link but the Sherry Lehmann site (strangely) won't allow me to.
